...THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON
OVER PARTS OF ALABAMA AND GEORGIA...

...SUMMARY...
Isolated damaging wind gusts are possible from central Alabama into
Georgia this afternoon.

...AL/GA...
An extensive line of showers and occasional thunderstorms extends
from northeast GA into southwest AL and the western FL panhandle.
Weak lewp/bowing structures have been noted along the line for the
past several hours, but damaging winds have not yet penetrated to
the surface. Trends in lightning data suggest that updrafts are
quite weak, and forecast soundings do not hold much promise in
overall strengthening this afternoon due to widespread clouds ahead
of the line.

Nevertheless, wind fields are strong and occasional bowing
structures along the line may result in locally gusty/damaging
winds. The activity will track into GA through the afternoon where
similar conditions will maintain the marginal risk.

Please refer to MCD #100 for further mesoscale details.
