A broad upper trough is present today over the eastern US, with ridging across the west. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are occurring this morning across the Ozarks of southern MO/northern AR. This activity may persist into the mid afternoon before weakening. Other convection is expected to form after dark across portions of southeast OK and northeast TX - ahead of an approaching shortwave trough. No severe storms are anticipated. ...FL...
