NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0731 PM CDT Sat Oct 03 2020

Valid 040100Z - 041200Z

Severe thunderstorms are not forecast tonight across the contiguous
United States.

Tranquil conditions will continue across much of the lower 48 states
through early Sunday morning. Water-vapor imagery early Saturday
evening shows a mid-level shortwave trough moving southeastward
across OK/northwest TX and this disturbance will reach the Arklatex
by daybreak Sunday. A few lightning flashes may occur with
mid-level convection later this evening into the overnight as the
lobe of ascent overspreads the Red River Valley into AR. Farther
southeast, a surface ridge over the Southeast will limit
destabilization north of the I-4 corridor in the central FL
Peninsula. A few widely spaced thunderstorms are possible
intermittently tonight from central FL south to the Keys.
