A progressive shortwave trough will track southeastward into the western Great Lakes region this evening, with cooling temperatures aloft and weak forcing overspreading the area. Scattered showers and isolated lake-enhanced thunderstorms will remain possible as this feature moves across parts of WI/MI overnight. Other isolated thunderstorms may occur this afternoon across parts of the FL peninsula and coastal GA/SC/NC in a weakly unstable environment. Otherwise, stable conditions with preclude thunderstorms over the CONUS today.
