Day 4-8 Outlook
Day 4-8 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0208 AM CDT Wed Oct 28 2020 Valid 311200Z - 051200Z ...DISCUSSION... Models are in very good agreement in depicting a large-scale trough to develop over the Midwest on Saturday, and subsequently over the lower Great Lakes and Northeast Sunday through Monday. A ridge is forecast to develop over the central U.S. in wake of the departing eastern U.S. trough by Tuesday with a low-amplitude pattern beginning by the end of the extended period. Dry/stable conditions in the low levels will exist across much of the CONUS as a result of the upcoming pattern and result in very low to nil severe-thunderstorm potential.
