Relatively dry and stable conditions will prevail over most of the US today, except a small part of the southwest states. A weak upper low is currently over central CA, with a zone of mid-level lift and cooler temperatures aloft affecting portions of southern NV, northwest AZ, and vicinity. This will likely be sufficient for pockets of showers and isolated thunderstorms through this evening. No severe storms are expected.
