Day 4-8 Outlook
Day 4-8 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0243 AM CST Mon Nov 02 2020 Valid 051200Z - 101200Z ...DISCUSSION... Medium-range model guidance is in good agreement in showing the development of a large-scale trough over the West Coast late in the work week. Models exhibit appreciable variability during the latter part of the extended period in both the evolution of the large-scale trough and the northward return of low-level moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into the central U.S. The risk for organized severe thunderstorms will gradually increase during the Sunday into Monday (days 7-8) but uncertainty is high by this timeframe. Will opt to describe late Sunday (day 7) through Monday (day 8) with a predictability-too-low highlight.
