No severe thunderstorms are expected across the continental United States Wednesday or Wednesday night. ...DISCUSSION... An upper-level trough is forecast to move from the Intermountain West into the Rockies on Wednesday as southwest mid-level flow remains established from the Great Plains to the Eastern Seaboard. At the surface, a cold front is forecast to advance southeastward into the Appalachians. Weak instability appears likely to develop ahead of the front across parts of the Southeast and Carolinas. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible along and ahead of the front during the day on Wednesday. Instability is forecast to be too weak for a severe threat.
