Severe thunderstorms are not expected through tonight. ...DISCUSSION... Water vapor imagery shows zonal flow across the much of the eastern half of the nation with an upper-level trough in the Desert Southwest. A plume of mid-level moisture is present ahead of the trough extending northeastward to the southern and central Plains. Thunderstorm development will be possible within this plume tonight as a 40 to 50 kt low-level jet strengthens across the southern and central Plains into the Ozarks. Elsewhere, a few lightning strikes may occur along the coast of the Pacific Northwest as an upper-level moves further inland. No severe thunderstorms are expected across the continental United States tonight. ..Broyles.. 11/14/2020
