SPC 0700Z Day 2 Outlook
Day 2 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1133 PM CST Wed Nov 18 2020 Valid 201200Z - 211200Z ...NO THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Thunderstorms are unlikely on Friday or Friday night across the nation. Fast west-southwesterly tropospheric flow will remain over most of the CONUS on Friday, with the primary surface frontal boundary extending from NY/PA into the OH Valley and central Plains. Southerly low-level winds will help to transport Gulf moisture into parts of the southern Plains and lower/mid MS Valley. This will result in scattered showers by Friday night along and north of the front across parts of KS/OK/MO/AR. Forecast soundings in this area show little to no CAPE, so thunderstorm chances appear low. Elsewhere, dry and stable conditions will prevail, precluding thunderstorm potential. ..Hart.. 11/19/2020
