Severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the contiguous United States tonight. ...Synopsis... Water-vapor imagery early this evening shows a slowly eastward-moving mid-level low over the Rio Grande Valley. A post-frontal airmass is located over the TX Gulf Coast to the east of the mid-level feature. The 6pm CST Brownsville, TX and Corpus Christi, TX raobs sampled scant elevated instability (75-100 J/kg MUCAPE). A couple of lightning flashes may occur with weak elevated convection tonight over the coastal plain of TX, but coverage will be very limited.
