0624 PM CST Sat Dec 05 2020

Valid 060100Z - 061200Z

Severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the contiguous United
States tonight.

Water-vapor imagery early this evening shows a slowly
eastward-moving mid-level low over the Rio Grande Valley. A
post-frontal airmass is located over the TX Gulf Coast to the east
of the mid-level feature. The 6pm CST Brownsville, TX and Corpus
Christi, TX raobs sampled scant elevated instability (75-100 J/kg
MUCAPE). A couple of lightning flashes may occur with weak elevated
convection tonight over the coastal plain of TX, but coverage will
be very limited. Elsewhere, quiescent conditions will prevail
across much of the Southeast, Midwest, and the West.
