1215 AM CST Sun Dec 20 2020

Valid 211200Z - 221200Z

Thunderstorms are not expected on Monday.

A pair of shortwave troughs are expected to move within the broadly
cyclonic flow over the eastern CONUS. Lead shortwave trough is
forecast to begin the period over the central Carolinas before
quickly moving offshore. The second shortwave will likely begin the
period over the Upper Midwest before continuing southeastward across
the Upper Great Lakes, OH Valley, and Mid-Atlantic States. A strong
shortwave is also expected to move into the Pacific
Northwest/northern CA early Tuesday morning.

Preceding frontal passage and the dry continental air mass in its
wake will result in stable conditions across the central and eastern
CONUS. Cold and stable conditions are expected west of the Rockies
as well.
