NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
1128 PM CST Sun Dec 20 2020

Valid 211200Z - 221200Z

...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
Severe thunderstorms are not expected today.

...Synopsis...
A midlevel shortwave trough expected to extend from the Carolinas
into the eastern Gulf of Mexico at the start of the period will move
quickly offshore this morning, as an attendant cold front sweeps
through the FL Peninsula. Some deep convection may persist through
around 14-15Z in the vicinity of the southern FL Peninsula and the
FL Keys, before the front moves through the region and the midlevel
shortwave departs to the east. Elsewhere, weak convection will be
possible across the OH Valley today in association with a
fast-moving midlevel shortwave trough, and later this evening near
the Pacific Northwest coast in association with an amplified upper
trough, but anything more than very isolated/sporadic lightning
activity in these areas in not currently expected.
