Valid 262000Z - 271200Z

Thunderstorm potential remains negligible across the contiguous U.S.
through early Sunday, except near coastal Washington this evening.

No changes are required to the ongoing outlook at this time, with a
few lightning flashes possible near the Washington coast this
evening, and no thunder expected elsewhere.

...Coastal WA...
The next in a series of low-amplitude shortwave impulses, currently
well west of OR, should approach coastal WA this evening. A zone of
focused ascent attendant to this impulse in conjunction with steep
low to mid-level lapse rates should yield a period of scattered
low-topped convection approaching the coast. Scant buoyancy (SBCAPE
below 250 J/kg) may support very isolated lightning flashes and this
threat appears marginally sufficient for a 10-percent thunder area.
