...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
Isolated thunderstorms are possible across southern Florida on
Monday morning. Severe thunderstorms are not expected.

...Synopsis...

An upper low over the central Appalachians and attendant trough
extending southward into the eastern Gulf of Mexico Monday morning
will pivot eastward through the period. By Tuesday morning, the
upper low will be strengthening over the Mid-Atlantic, with the
southern extent of the trough moving offshore the southeast U.S.
coast over the Gulf Stream. A surface low near the Mid-Atlantic
coast will lift north/northeast through the period. The attendant
cold front will arc southwest, just offshore the southeast U.S.
coast, and across southern FL Monday morning. The front will track
southeast, moving offshore southern FL and the Keys by midday.
Modest instability and boundary-parallel flow will limit vigorous
thunderstorm activity. However, cooling aloft and steepening lapse
rates could result in a few lightning flashes near the front across
south FL through around 16-17z.
