...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
A few thunderstorms are possible along the Pacific Northwest Coast.

...Pacific Northwest Coast...
Heights will fall across the Pacific Northwest during the first half
of the period as a weak short-wave trough ejects inland ahead of a
100+kt speed max. This upstream feature will dig toward the OR Coast
late in the period along with a secondary low-level surface
boundary/convergence zone. Very cold mid-level temperatures (minus
30-34 at 500mb) will spread inland by mid day, and
cooling/steepening profiles should become more favorable for at
least weak, low-topped convection. Forecast soundings suggest some
threat for lightning discharge as EL levels should exceed -20C,
though cold profiles will likely limit overall instability.
