Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0637 PM CST Mon Mar 08 2021 Valid 090100Z - 091200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... A few thunderstorms remain possible along the Pacific Coast. ...Pacific Coast... Isolated thunderstorms remain possible along the Pacific Coast from northern CA into OR. Latest water-vapor imagery depicts a well-defined upper low near 47N/137W, drifting southeast in line with latest model guidance. Several vort lobes are rotating ahead of this feature which appear partly responsible for aiding glaciated low-topped convection. One particularly noteworthy vorticity-enhanced cluster is located near 42N/130W. Isolated flashes of lightning are noted within the stronger updrafts ahead of this feature. Leading edge of this activity should approach the northern CA/southwest OR Coast in the next 2-4 hours. Isolated thunderstorm threat should linger through sunrise as the primary corridor of low-level convergence is expected to remain offshore through the day1 period. ..Darrow.. 03/09/2021
